Chapel St understands that being connected to and cared about by the community around us makes each of us feel more positive and helps us achieve daily goals to improve our overall personal well being.
What We Do:
We run two community networks, Link Line and Mum Plus Mum, across South-West London that connect people living in the same area. This is so that vulnerable adults can benefit from emotional and practical support from people in their local community, which ensures consistent relational support and access.
Why Do We Do It?
Many of the people we support, for a variety of reasons, fall in the gap between statutory health & social care and care companies. This means they need extra help to resolve their urgent and pressing needs.
For many of us, this kind of relational support and the ability to access much needed care, is something we can take for granted but is often an insurmountable challenge for our members. What we do is help them find ways to build lasting relationships and gain an increased sense of empowerment over their own lives.
